Welcome to part 2 of the campaign weekend report. In this post the battles will be put to one side and instead we shall delve into the various entries in the painting competitions...
There were a fair few titans on display in the engines of war category.
An innovative Eldar take on a bastion.
Captain Caine cuts a diminutive figure alongside some of the rather larger heroes!
Not in the painting contest but an immense 'nid army. Absolutely stunning.
Thousand Sons army in the best army competition.
It was nice to see a few Eldar titans at the weekend. The eventual winner of that category was a harlequin phantom titan which unfortunately I don't have a photo of. If you check out the Warhammer World facebook page there should be one there
The overall winner of the painting contest. My friend Stu's army finally winning the coveted best army at the third of fourth time of asking. Well deserved I reckon.
I'd highly recommend you check his blog. Amazing stuff there.

Every single model is converted, incredible attention to detail.
The Iron Hawks space marines.
A really nice Dark Angels army utilising a bit of everything from the new codex.
Some custodes.
A really nice guard army with a cool camo pattern.
Iyanden make an appearance with a beautiful Eldar army.
Well you know this army by now.
An honourable defeat in the painting contest. Still got a fair few people coming up to me to say they'd voted for my guys which is always nice to hear. Two 1st place and a nomination from my 3 WW events, not bad at all I reckon. I'll have to up my game some how for the next time...
Stay tuned for part 3 of the report and the climactic final two battles!
Fantastic!
